Elemental Minerals Limited is a mineral exploration and development company listed
on the Australian Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange (ELM). The company's
major project is its 93% owned Sintoukola Potash Project. Which is currently undergoing
a Prefeasibility Study with the aim of completing the Definitive Feasibility Study
(DFS) in Q1, 2013 and commencing production in 2015.
The Sintoukola Potash Project is situated on the coast of the Republic of Congo,
60 kilometres to the north of the major west African port of Pointe Noire.
Historically 26 exploration holes were sunk into the project area by previous explorers
which identified both Slyvinite and Caranalitite mineralisation situated at depths
varying from 275 to 1,000 metres (shallow by international comparisons). Exploration
activities on the project commenced during the first quarter 2010 with two drill
rigs and associated equipment being mobilised as part of the planned exploration
programme. In Q2 2011, the Company delineated a maiden Indicated Resource of 362Mt
@19.48% K2O and a maiden Inferred Resources of 442Mt @19.57% K2O. Drilling
is expected to deliver an updated JORC resource Q2 2012.
